Provox SolaTone Plus Electrolarynx
$678.01
The Provox SolaTone Plus is a handheld electrolarynx, a battery-powered device that makes a voice for someone who can't speak with their own larynx. You press a single pressure-sensitive button to switch it on and vary the sound as you talk. You can choose masculine or feminine voicing and adjust the pitch. It has two modes, one for monotone and one for variable pitch, and neither needs tools to set. The hourglass-shaped body is made to be comfortable to hold. It comes with a rechargeable battery, a micro-USB charging cord, a lanyard, an oral adapter and oral tubes, so you have what you need to start. A speech-language pathologist can help with learning where and how to place it for the clearest speech.

Provox TruTone EMOTE Electrolarynx
$1,413.12
The Provox TruTone EMOTE is a handheld electrolarynx. You hold it against your neck, or use the included oral adapter and tubes, and it produces a voice that you shape into speech. One pressure-sensitive button controls the sound, so pressing harder or softer changes the pitch for more natural expression. You can choose masculine or feminine voicing and adjust the pitch, and six modes cover steady or varying pitch. A Whisper mode lets you drop to a softer volume with one touch. It recharges through a built-in USB port, and the box includes the charging cord, rechargeable battery, lanyard, and a spare head cap. It's a complete device, but a speech-language pathologist can help you pick the right placement and settings.

Provox TruTone Plus Electrolarynx
$1,062.16
The Provox TruTone Plus is a handheld electrolarynx, a battery-powered device that makes a buzzing tone you hold against the neck or use with an oral tube, so someone without a working voice box can speak. A single pressure-sensitive button lets you change pitch as you press, which gives speech more natural rise and fall. You can choose masculine or feminine voicing, adjust the pitch, and set it to a steady monotone or variable pitch without tools. The hourglass-shaped body is built for a comfortable grip, and the kit includes a rechargeable lithium battery, a micro-USB charging cord, a lanyard, an oral adapter, and oral tubes. Learning where to place it and how to shape clear speech with it goes much better with a speech-language pathologist's help.
