$19.99
The Boogie Board Jot 4.5 is a small LCD writing tablet. You write on it with the included stylus, and the words stay on screen until you press a button to erase them. It works as a quick way to share a note, phone number, or short message when speaking or hearing is hard, and it slips into a pocket or purse for trips to the pharmacy, store, or a restaurant. It runs without charging or connecting to anything. The 4.5-inch screen suits short messages, not long conversations.

Boogie Board Jot 8.5 LCD eWriter- Gray
$29.99
The Jot 8.5 is a reusable LCD writing tablet. You write on it with the included stylus, and a button wipes the screen clean when you're done. It gives someone who can't use their voice, or who is hard of hearing, a quick way to write a message, a phone number, or a list and show it to another person. The screen shows a bright, high-contrast line and holds the image without power, so there's no on/off switch. This is a simple writing surface, not a speech device, so it can't speak for you. It also has no storage of its own, and the erase button clears the whole screen at once.

Boogie Board Jot 4.5 LCD eWriter- Pink
$19.99
The Boogie Board Jot 4.5 is a small LCD writing tablet. You write on it with the included stylus, and the words stay on screen until you press the erase button. That makes it a quiet way to get a message across when speaking is hard or not possible, such as with vocal cord paralysis, after a stroke, or for someone who is deaf or hard of hearing. It slips into a shirt pocket, coat pocket, or purse, so you can use it at the pharmacy, a restaurant, or the grocery store. You can also leave one in a few spots around the home or office. It works for short notes, phone numbers, and lists, but it is not made for long messages. It replaces scratch paper, and you can write and erase again and again without charging it or connecting it to anything.

Boogie Board Jot 8.5 LCD eWriter- Blue
$29.99
The Boogie Board Jot 8.5 is a reusable LCD writing tablet. You write on it with the included stylus, and a button clears the screen when you're done. It gives someone who can't speak, or finds speaking hard, a quick way to share a message, a phone number, or a list by writing it out. The screen needs no power to hold an image, so there's no on/off switch. A small amount of power is used only when you press erase. It's a good fit for keeping around the house or office, or for taking along. It's a handwriting tool, so the person needs enough hand control to write or draw. The maker also offers a free Jot mobile app.

Boogie Board Jot 8.5 LCD eWriter- Pink
$29.99
The Boogie Board Jot 8.5 is a reusable LCD writing tablet. You write on it with a stylus or finger, and the high-contrast screen shows your notes, so someone who can't speak or is hard to hear can show a message instead of saying it. It also works for quick lists, reminders, and phone numbers. The image stays on screen without power, so there's no on/off button. A press of the erase button clears the screen. It's a simple, portable option for someone who needs a low-tech way to communicate in person. It only shows what you write, so it has no voice output and no stored phrases.
