It holds 31 removable daily boxes, each with 4 compartments for different times of day, so a full month of pills or vitamins can be loaded at once. When a dose is due, the clock speaks the time, the date and which dose to take, and it repeats the reminder until you press the acknowledge button. You can set up to 4 daily alarms. After finishing a day's pills, you flip that day's box so its end cap changes from green to red, which gives a quick visual check of what's been taken. It needs 2 AA batteries, and the daily boxes have easy-open lids. It's a good fit for someone who forgets doses or can't count on reading a clock or a pill label.
