    Duxbury Braille Translation For Windows

    Duxbury Systems

    $695.00

Duxbury Braille Translator is Windows software that turns print documents into braille, and braille back into print. It takes files from Word, HTML, Open Office and other formats, and it can bring in text by email or through OCR, which reads printed pages. It handles American or British braille, contracted or uncontracted, across more than 170 languages, and math braille codes are available too. The output can be sent to any commercial braille embosser. It's built for people who prepare braille, such as teachers of students with visual impairments, transcribers, and publishers. It's a production tool, not a reading device, so it doesn't replace a braille display.

    Duxbury Braille Translator for Windows

    Duxbury Systems

    $695.00

Duxbury Braille Translator for Windows turns print documents into braille, so you can produce textbooks, letters, ADA-compliant signs, and similar material. It creates Grade 1 and Grade 2 American Braille, plus several foreign language braille formats. The menus are built to work with most speech output and refreshable braille displays, which helps a blind user run the program independently. It also includes the Duxbury Braille Font, so most ink printers can print a simulated braille version that sighted teachers and family can read. This is software only. An actual braille embosser is needed to make raised braille on paper.
