Orbit Reader 40
$1,899.00
The Orbit Reader 40 is a refreshable braille device with 40 eight-dot braille cells. You can use it on its own to read books and documents in braille and to take notes, saving them as braille or text files. Orion TI-30XS Multi-view Talking Scientific Calculator
$579.00
This talking scientific calculator is a TI-30XS with speech added, so it reads aloud every key you press and everything on the screen, including menus, expressions, and symbols. Three extra keys above the display control volume, speech rate, pause, silence, and a Learn mode that tells you what a key does without entering it. A screen review function lets you step back and forth through the display by line, word, or character, read it all, or hear the last text spelled out. Because the display and keypad match the standard TI-30XS, a teacher who already knows that calculator can follow along. It includes earphones, a rechargeable battery that you can replace yourself, an AC adapter, and a USB flash drive with documentation. It handles fraction/decimal conversion, tables, and one- and two-variable statistics.
